Is Coconut going to retire?

Pretty recently, there has been rumour that American Girls is going to retire Coconut. Some people believe this, but others don't. On American girl fans message board (Click Here to go to American girl fans message board.) I found some exiting info on coconuts retirement. She and her friend do not believe that American girl is going to retire coconut, but her friend thinks that they will retire coconuts trademark. Here is what her friend said:

"It is worth noting that the trademark for goods associated with Coconut, An American Girl's Best Friend is still active, and that the mark for Coconut which is labeled as abandoned is for thelogo trademark imagethat is used, this one:



So if AG wants to reuse that little logo, I would expect to see a resubmission within a few weeks to months at most.

That AG is letting a logo mark expire does NOT mean that it is retiring Coconut.The original poster has jumped to conclusions if that's all this is based on, and I hope this explanation helps explain things and eases some minds. Keep in mind that I'm not saying that AG will never retire Coconut. I am, however, saying that this particular logo trademark abandonment isNOTreliable evidence in and of itself that AG intends to do away with Coco.

This info I found very interesting. I think what she is saying makes sense, and I hope she is right. So is coconut retiring? Well, we will just have to wait and find out.
